Chief Brown has over 28 years experience in public safety including over 25 in the fire service. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Science Degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership from Grand Canyon University and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program. Mayer, where he has served as the Fire Chief since 2004, is the sixth Fire Chief's job of his career. He has held numerous local and state civic and professional positions, was named the 2009 Chief Fire Officer of the Year by the Arizona Fire Chief’s Association and the 2007 Mayer Citizen of the Year by the Arizona Highway 69 Chamber of Commerce. He is an instructor at the annual Arizona State Fire School and during several fire conferences throughout the state.
Chief McGhee has been in Public Safety for 38 years. He is active in the Prescott Area Training Group.
Captain LaGreca has been with the department for 12 years. He is a qualified wildland Engine Boss, has an Associates Degree in Fire Science, and bachelor's Degree in Fire Service Management from ASU. He also holds a Management Certificate from FEMA in Professional Development. Captain LaGreca lives in Mayer with his wife and daughter, where he spends much of his time off as an Upland game professional hunting guide and is also an avid fisherman.
Captain Haney has been with the Mayer Fire Department for 15 years. Captain Haney is the President of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 3066, Yavapai Professional Firefighters. Tom lives in Mayer with his wife.
Ryan Trask
Captain Trask was promoted in 2011. He is active in MFD's special operations division and is Mayer Fire's EMS Coordinator.
