Chief Brown has over 27 years experience in public safety including over 25 in the fire service. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Science Degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership from Grand Canyon University and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program. Mayer, where he has served as the Fire Chief since 2004, is the sixth Fire Chief's job of his career. Chief Brown is married and has a daughter and three stepchildren. He has held numerous local and state civic and professional positions and was named the 2007 Mayer Citizen of the Year.
Chief McGhee has an extensive fire service career, in Texas and Arizona spanning over 28 years. Chief McGhee has a BA degree in Fire Service Management as well as an associates degree. He has many functions with in the department including training, Incident Safety Officer, and Shift Commander. Before coming to the Mayer Fire Dept, Chief McGhee worked for the Rural/Metro Fire Dept. in Scottsdale and was a Police Officer prior to his career in the fire service. In his spare time, he is an avid body builder and family man. He live is Mayer with his wife.
Todd Paschal has served the Mayer Fire Department since 2005. Todd had over 18 years experience in the fire service prior to coming to Mayer. He has a Management certificate from Estrella Mountain Community College, holds a Fire Science degree from Phoenix College, is a Certified Public Manager from Arizona State University, is a Certified Incident Safety Officer, and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator. Todd has been designated a Chief Fire Officer (CFO) by the Commission on Professional Accrediting. Todd is an avid fresh and salt water fisherman. When not at work spends his time on his boat with his wife and son.
Captain Wilson is currently assigned to 'A' shift at station 22. He has been in the fire service for over 30 years, previously working for the Rural/Metro Fire Department in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area.
Captain Haney has been with the Mayer Fire Department for 12 years. Captain Haney is the President of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 3066, Yavapai Professional Firefighters. Tom lives in Mayer with his wife.
Captain LaGreca has been with the department for 7 years. He is a qualified wildland Engine Boss, and has an Associates Degree in Fire Science. Captain LaGreca recently earned his bachelor's Degree in Fire Service Management from ASU. He also holds a Management Certificate from FEMA in Professional Development. Captain LaGreca lives in Mayer with his wife and daughter, where he spends much of his time off as an Upland game professional hunting guide and is also an avid fisherman.
